Collection: Daylily Seeds

Thanks for checking out my seed sales. I have been growing daylilies for many years, and I made it my business by becoming a licensed and inspected plant nursery in 2021.  I have been doing my own daylily crosses and growing my own daylily seed for the past 5 years.

I try to do crosses that interest me including broken pattern, stripes, teeth, and unusual daylilies.

I also grow many historical varieties that I am crossing to newer plants.

How this is going to work: There will be items with daylily seed crosses with pictures of the parent plants. Pictures will be my own, unless I did not get a good picture, then it will be a picture from the ADS database. I claim no ownership to the ADS database photos. Crosses will be listed with the pod (mother) parent first, followed by the pollen (father) parent. Daylilies, like humans, will produce offspring that share some of the qualities of both of their parents. They are not clones like a division would be.

All crosses were done intentionally with thought, but sometimes the pollen marking tag becomes illegible or lost, so instead of providing false information or guessing, those seeds will be sold with unknown pollen parentage.

Seed pods were ripened on the plant, picked, dried, then placed in the refrigerator for stratification. Upon receiving the seeds, you should refrigerate for a few more weeks before planting indoors, or direct sow outdoors anytime after the first frost. Many daylily seed growing guides can be found online.

Daylily seeds and daylily plants can not be purchased in the same transaction, as seeds will be shipped as soon as possible or at your requested time, and plants will not be shipped until May.  Daylily seed shipping will be shipped via USPS priority mail for a flat rate of $7 for as many seeds as you purchase that are shipped in the same package.  Seeds are packaged inside a bubble mailer that is inside a small box, they can not be crushed.
